There are different types of spinal injections that can be done to ease the pain from compression of the nerve(s) in the spine and degenerative facet joints (joints at the back of the spine).
Spinal injections can be in the form of epidural steroid injections, nerve root blocks or facet blocks depending on what is the cause of the patient’s pain.
Dr Mash will assess a patient thoroughly with a clinical examination and review the MRI scans before deciding if spinal injection will be beneficial to the patient.
